Why would the presence of the scientist change how these viewers responded? In Japanese culture, it is considered offensive to reveal negative emotions in the presence of an authority figure. Later victims had the option of either being informants, and thus, give names of communist sympathizers or going to prison if refused to cooperate (R). On November25 of 1947, Eric Johnston, President of the Motion Picture Association of America published the â€Å"Waldorf Statement†, which announced the firing of the Hollywood Ten, and stated they would not employ any communist or member of a party which advocates to overthrow the government (R). During the ensuing battle, Ferguson took a bullet in the right elbow and after the battle, argued with surgeons who wanted to amputate the arm. Ferguson kept the crippled arm and took nine months to recover. He taught himself to fence with his left hand and now carried a silver whistle that he used to signal his men. Ferguson traveled though the souther colonies recruiting sympathizers of the crown for his army and he traveled with two women, both of which were named Virginia. Ferguson met his demise on October 7, 1780 at the battle of Kings Mountain. After fighting a losing battle against separatist forces Ferguson was shot by several patriots. Conclusion It is important to be culturally aware so as to achieve more productivity; this is good for the food service business (Purdue University n. p. ). Furthermore, working relationships are upheld and maintained when the â€Å"food service director† and everyone around him is culturally-aware, this means that they value differences and that they respect each other (Purdue University n. p. ).
